FAQ

What is Balto Health?

Balto Health is a consumer-first healthcare platform that helps people access the medications they need — especially when insurance companies make it difficult. Whether it’s a GLP-1 for weight loss, a specialty medication for a chronic condition, or a drug your doctor prescribed but insurance denied, we specialize in getting you covered. Our team of doctors makes it easier to fight denials, navigate red tape, and get the care you’re entitled to.

What is the price? Any hidden fees?

Balto Health offers a flat monthly fee of $149. You can read more in Pricing. This includes your medical evaluation, support through the insurance process, and access to our full suite of tools and services. There are no hidden fees — and if you don’t qualify for a prescription or we can’t help you access your medication, you can get a full refund, no questions asked. Lab tests and medication costs (whether direct pay or your copay) are not included, and we work for you to minimize these costs.

Is it a subscription?

Yes. Balto Health is a subscription-based service. You’re billed monthly and can cancel at any time. Most of our patients stick around long term because we help them maintain access to life-changing medication and handle the paperwork with their insurers every step of the way.

What does the program include?

Your Balto subscription includes:

  • Monthly check-in with a doctor to monitor progress and adjust your care plan
  • Evaluation and prescription when medically appropriate
  • Full insurance support, including prior authorizations and appeals
  • Personalized testing guidance and referrals when needed
  • Continuous medical support throughout your treatment journey

Will my information be kept confidential?

Absolutely. Balto Health is fully HIPAA-compliant. Your data is encrypted, your medical history is private, and we never sell or share your personal information.

MEDICATION AND SERVICES QUESTIONS

How does the process work? Do I need a prescription?

You start by filling out a quick medical intake form. Our doctors review your information, and if you qualify, they’ll issue a prescription. From there, we handle the insurance paperwork, coordinate with the pharmacy, and keep you updated every step of the way. If we do not have a medical solution for you, you can request a full refund.

What kind of medication will I receive?

We strive to provide you with the best medication for your specific needs, at the lowest cost and with the minimum amount of hassle. This means we will first try to get you covered by insurance, and only seek alternative options if we are unable to.

ORDER CANCELLATION

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your subscription anytime.
